The concept of Identification
Mind alone is the cause of bondage and liberation. When the mind clings to or attaches to objects, it shackles one in bondage. When the same mind detaches from those very objects, one becomes free from bondage.
It is when we get attached to our mind and our body that we believe that all our actions and expressions are correct. Over time, we believe in our superiority and incorrectly consider others to be inferior in some way. We bring about separateness and differences in our world. This is the cause of confusion.
We are all expressions of the highest Self/I AM, but out of ignorance, we have the above thinking and soon believe that this is who we truly are. Our non-self becomes the Self. This concept is known as “Identification” in the Vedas.
