Aromatherapy uses the plant essences or oils as ingredients in beauty products like perfumes or used for healing certain ailments. Essential oils should be used in a base or carrier oil and not directly on the skin.
Carrier oils can be like Almond, Coconut, Olive or Jojoba oils. If the essential oil is used in the bath, then it should not be put in directly, but mixed with bath salts and then dissolved in the bath water.
The essential oils can be used specifically to deal with negative emotions or feelings of stress and exhaustion:
Lavender: Relaxes and relieves stress
Rosemary: Stimulates and sharpens the mind
Geranium: Reduces stress
Chamomile: Reduces stress
Sandalwood: Good for Depression and Insomnia
Juniper Berry: Good for reducing anger and anxiety
Sweet Marjoram: Reduces anxiety
